Medigence is the first home healthcare provider in Cyprus, aiming at delivering a full range of coordinated, high quality and state-of the art health care. Home healthcre enhances the important relationship between patient, families, nurses and doctors, thus facilitating the patient’s comfort and recovery, while protecting their dignity.
Medigence provides home health care services that cover health maintenance, health promotion, disease prevention, health recovery and maintenance of everyday life with illness or disabilities. We, therefore, present the option to those in need of staying at home, instead in a hospital or institution, while also receiving high quality care.
The services that are provided through our programs are supported by a medical team that consists of accredited and specialised family physicians with a vast experience in home health care. Combining this support with the services based on guidelines and quality management, Medigence is the first Home Health Care Company in Cyprus of this kind.
How does it work?
Our nursing staff is qualified and competent. The core value of our services is based on a multidisciplinary team of specialist under whose guidance we develop a unique plan of care. Medigence brings together doctors, nurses, nutritionists, physiotherapists, psychologists, sociologists and carers to ensure that all critical information is carefully assessed and processed to develop a quality service that is both complete and effective.
A unique plan of care for each patient
The development of the plan of care starts from the first day of contact. Contact can be made either by the patient, the patient’s family, friends, or by referral from doctors or social services.
Once contact is made, the Director of Nursing undertakes the first assessment. This assessment aims at collecting vital information, including medical and social data, such as the patient’s medical condition, household and domestic situation, patient’s and family’s ability to participate in the treatment, and other relevant information.
The plan of care is further developed by considering the first assessment report together with the medical and social needs of the patient. We believe that the relationship between patient, families, nurses and doctors is very important for the patient’s recovery and comfort, and thus the plan of care is communicated to the family or friends, in order to ensure commitment as well as the patient’s best interest.

Our healthcare programs offer the option of recovery or treatment at your own home, instead of a hospital or institution.
This option allows the families and friends to have their loved ones with them, to care for them with the help of qualified staff, and to alleviate any stress or tiredness arising from the continuous care of the patient. Our healthcare programs are:

A nurse will be on call around the clock for any emergency that may come up.
This service will be provided only as an extra service to an existing patient using any one of our healthcare programs.
Transportation
If mobility is a concern, our company can provide a special car (for wheelchairs) to transfer the patient and keep company during doctors visits or other scheduled appointments.
