St. George's Private Hospital is situated in the town of Paphos within easy reach from all hotels. Built in 1991, the hospital now extends over 5 floors and is the leading hospital in the Paphos area. We have developed a reputation for quality and we proud ourselves on maintaining our high standards through constant attention to all areas of service provision and through the acquisition of the latest technology as it becomes available.
As part of its on-going commitment to quality St. George worked hard and gained with pride the internationally recognised quality standard, ISO 9002, both the British and Cypriot Certificates, making it the first Hospital in Cyprus to achieve this standard.
Patients are seen on an out-patient or inpatient basis depending on their medical condition. Twenty doctors are employed full-time at the hospital along with a number of visiting doctors and professors consultants covering the wide range of specialities required for a general hospital.
MANPOWER
St Georges Hospital is currently capable of covering the entire range of services that may be required in the framework of every medical specialty, since it has established cooperation with experienced scientists of all medical specialties.
The nursing personnel has been selected on the basis of being able to fully support medical service activities. We believe and promote personnel life-long education and training by organizing annual training and specialization seminars for the nursing staff on issues of nursing and medical and nursing technology.
The Administrative personnel at our Hospital comprises finance and health care management scientists, as well as specialized and experienced managers. Our hospital invests in know-how and manpower that is capable of applying modern health care management models that are addressed to patients and the best possible coverage of patient needs.
Finally, the remaining paramedical and auxiliary personnel comprises specialized staff and technicians in their respective fields, as well as experienced outsourced associates who ensure the best possible safety of the medical and technological equipment functionality.
INFORMATION FOR PATIENTS
In order to ensure the greatest possible accessibility to its services, our Hospital has signed cooperation with all public insurance organizations. Thus, persons insured with public insurance funds can visit the Hospital’s Treatment Departments, Outpatient Clinics and Laboratories using their health-care booklet issued by the public insurance fund
Patient Admission and Discharge
The “Traffic Desk” (ground floor – tel 26947000) provides all types of information concerning the admission and discharge of patients in any of the Clinic's departments.
Visiting Hours
Patients’ relatives and friends may visit daily from 10:00 to 12:00 in the lunch time and 17:00 to 20:00 in the evening. Visitors are required to observe visiting hours, accept any suggestions made by the staff during visiting hours, respect the area, order and patient tranquility. When doctors and nurses make their rounds, visitors are asked to leave the rooms, refrain from crowding the halls and remain in the waiting room.
