Aromatherapy
For thousands of years the ancient Egyptians used volatile plant materials (essential oils) and other aromatic compounds for the treatment of mental and physical problems. Through special methods of kneading, muscular twitches can be removed, relaxation is promoted, and a persons mood can be altered. A number of underlying problems such as insomnia, stress and muscle problems can be relieved when the right essential oils and kneading methods are used.
The modes of application of aromatherapy include:
Aerial diffusion: for environmental fragrancing or aerial disinfection Direct inhalation: for respiratory disinfection, decongestion, expectoration and psychological effects Topical applications: for general massage, baths, compresses, therapeutic skin care
